SUMMARY

Senior administration on several company main systems including: 1. Cisco Call Manager VoIP System, 2. VMWare Virtual Machine hosts (Microsoft Exchange, SQL and other servers) 3. Company WAN/LAN Network Administration for HQ and remote plants. Job duty need to design, deploy, configure, monitor, troubleshooting and analyst all companywide PBX\WAN\LAN status and report back to IT Manager. Network devices including Cisco routers, switches, ASA, small appliances etc. Other PBX system, Server or Network related projects will also be involved or responsible. After-hour deploying schedule will be the main scope of this position. Domestic\Overseas travelling will also be performed per project or task requirement.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Managing, configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting company Cisco Call Manager\other PBX systems
  2. Managing, configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting VM System at Datacenter (VMWare)
  3. Managing, configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting company Microsoft servers (Exchange, SQL and others) on VM hosts or physical machines.
  4. Managing, configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting company LAN\WAN devices and appliances.
  5. All related device maintenance or service contracts setup\renew\recommendation with IRA.
  6. Work with other team members to solve problems or deploy projects.
  7. Designing solutions and deploying projects for improvement projects.
  8. Emergency jobs, tasks and PBX or LAN\WAN networking failure situation will need to report to IT Manager within certain time window and take necessary actions to restore services.
  9. Most deploying projects will involve, include night shifts, overtime periods and holiday time.
  10. Domestic\International traveling around remote sites for projects or problem fixing.
  11. Generating related reports on regular base to IT Manager or above.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  1. Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in computer networking.
  2. 3+ years working experiences on Cisco Call Manager systems
  3. 3+ years working experiences on Cisco Routers and appliances. CCNP preferred.
  4. 3+ years working experience on WAN\LAN devices.
  5. 3+ years Microsoft Exchange server, SQL server systems and Enterprise level servers.
  6. 1+ year VMWare VM system configuration, certifications or related job experience.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

Professional Server languages, Possess intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Visio and Outlook.  Internet/Intranet network project experience preferred. VM system operating and tools plus. Reporting tools or utilities is necessary. Network diagram drawing skills, etc.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to communicate with users on PBX, Servers or Network debugging. Ability to analyze collected log and use them to generate reports. Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups (employees or remote users).

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to work independently. The employee will work on night jobs\tasks beyond the normal working hours or flexible hours.
