  1. POSITION OBJECTIVE:
 
Manages plant operations in the most efficient manner to produce quality products.
 
  1. QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  1. College degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience documented and accepted by J-M Eagle.
  2. Seven (7) years in a production environment, at least three (3) years in plastic pipe or extruding process manufacturing environment.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Supervisory experience, people skills, ability to manage complex working environment.
 
  1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  1. Establish and direct organization to operate plant facility.
  2. Administer the recruitment and training of the plant organization line and staff.
  3. Develop and administer employee and community relations program to effect harmonious employee and public relations.
  4. Develop and administer operating budgets and standard for cost measurement.
  5. Develop and administer corporate programs such as cost reduction, capital expenditures, energy conservation, industrial hygiene, safety and housekeeping programs for plant operations.
  6. Assist in providing equipment and facilities, and provide adequate maintenance to insure the manufacture of product line to appropriate specifications.
  7. Provide necessary customer service and foster customer relations.
  8. Perform other related duties as required.
 
The above-prescribed duties are set forth as “bench marks” for evaluation of this job.  They are representatives of the job.
 
  1. Physical/Visual Activities Required/Work Environmental Conditions:
 
  1. Sight capabilities to distinguish proper product identification as well as warning and operational indicators.
  2. Hearing capabilities to distinguish differences in warning alarm indicators and standard operation indicators.
  3. Sight capabilities to identify accuracy and neatness of required job assignments.
  4. Balancing to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching in all areas due to possible limited observation.
  5. Ability to verbally communicate either face to face or via telephone with other employees to accomplish all assigned job requirements.
  6. Hear and understand verbal communication whether it be face to face or via telephone.
  7. See and understand written communication.
  8. Ability to confirm by sight quality level of raw materials and products produced to determine acceptance and or denial of each.
  9. Lift up to 26 – 50 pounds and carry up to 30 feet.
  10. Walking through, under and around equipment with a clearance of 30”.
  11. Activates and uses telephone, computers, calculators, etc.
  12. Ability to feel objects, such as textures, size and shape and to determine temperature by touching of skin, primarily by that of finger tips.
  13. Ability to grasp office utensils and use them in accordance with a safe working manner so as not injure oneself or fellow employees.
 
 
  1. AUTHORITY/DECISION MAKING:
 
  1. Works under J M Eagle policy and procedures on day-to-day basis. 
  2. Makes decisions on job related matters under limited supervision provided by Corporate Headquarters. 
Maintains working relations with all other employees.
