The Programmer Analyst is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, analyzing, developing, testing, maintaining, and enhancing, AS400(DB2), Java and Web application functions to meet current and future requirements. Support Vendor supplied applications as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- AS400 System Operator
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly backup.
- Monitor QSYSOPR message queue.
- AS400 System Programmer Analyst.
- Analyze business needs presented by the user community and recommend technical solutions.
- Develop, enhance and maintain company applications.
- Maintain and Upgrade third party applications as needed.
- Apply third party software Enhancement and Corrections (ECs).
- Java & Web Development
- Develop, maintain, test, and document new programs for company’s ERP system.
- Create front-end programs using iSeries DB2 back-end and JDBC
- Front-end web technologies include, but not limited to:
- HTML5, PHP, ASP, JSP, XML
- Assist with software and hardware upgrades
- Assist with Salesforce.com package

COMPUTER SKILLS
- 1 year programming experience with iSeries AS400 environment
- SQLRPGLE, RPGLE, CL, CLLE, DDS, SQL, Query400
- WebSphere Application Server
- Not required but a bonus to have Java and Web environments
- Java: Java,JDBC,J2EE,JSP,XML
- Web: HTML5,CSS,PHP,ASP,Javascript/jQuery,JSON
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as vendor contract, reps agreement, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
