The Accounting Supervisor assists the Director of Finance in administering all facets of general accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable and supervising accounting coordinators.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
   
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position supervises non-exempt accounting coordinators.
 
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and one (1) to three (3) years of experience, along with some supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
 
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as vendor contracts, rep. agreements and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively.
 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
 
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished verbally or in written, diagram or schedule form.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
