Provide support to engineering projects for expansion and improvements across a wide variety of areas, mainly for equipment evaluation and purchasing, and possibly some mechanical design.
Develop technical specifications. Prepare RFQ technical documents. Perform technical evaluations for the purchase of pipe extrusion production equipment, which would include but not limited to, extruders, cooling tanks, pullers, saws, and downstream pipe handling equipment. Work with internal and external engineering resources, equipment suppliers, and contractors, both in the U.S. and China, to complete assigned projects within schedule, deliverables, and budget constraints.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

BA/BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and experience in a manufacturing enviroment. 3-10+ years related experience. Plastic extrusion manufacturing experience a plus. Bilingual in Mandarin a must. Project management experience would be helpful. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Possess intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Internet/Intranet experience preferred. Design experience using AutoCAD and Solidworks is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups (employees or customers).
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
