SUMMARY

 The Web Developer will perform website related projects including new designs, changes, updates and tracking/monitoring online activity. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 ·         Web-based applications, website enhancements, desktop applications, database-backed websites and web layout enhancements·         Create SEO performance reports·         Translate marketing or informational content into a functional website·         Work with the graphic designer to create or edit images and graphics for website use·         Determine all coding requirements for site creation including e-commerce, forms and specialized scripts·         Create templates of approved website layouts·         Code web pages utilizing XHTML, CSS and HTML5·         Work in several programming languages including SQL, PHP and JavaScript as well as combination languages such as AJAX·         Integrate verbal content with site design for final product·         Make changes to the site as directed by client·         Submit completed site to search engines·         Work with a variety of database systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQL Server among others·         Work within a variety of database frameworks·         Work with Adobe CS5 Software, essentially Dreamweaver·         Upload and convert video files to web·         Stay up to date on current and emerging technologies·         Demonstrate high organization with strong attention to detail·         Multi-task and deliver on tight deadlines·         Collaborate on a team and work with limited supervision

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

   

COMPUTER SKILLS

Possess intermediate knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS, Dreamweaver, Flash, FTP, Adobe graphic knowledge, Microsoft Office and Project. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups (employees or customers). 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
