Responsible for the overall planning, organizing, analyzing, developing, testing, maintaining, and enhancing the application functions to meet current and future requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- AS400 System Operator
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly backup.
- Monitor QSYSOPR message queue.
- AS400 System Program Analyst
- Analyze business needs presented by the user community and recommend technical solutions.
- Upgrade Friedman (Plastpro’s ERP system) applications.
- Apply Friedman ECs.
- Modify and enhance Freidman applications.
- Develop, enhance and maintain Plastpro applications
- Accounts Payable
- General Ledger
- CIP and Fixed Assets
- Barcode labels
- Web reports
- Dell Windows server
- Monitor Friedman Optio Fax server
- Monitor WebSphere server for Friedman applications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
- 3-5 years programming experience with iSeries AS400 environment
- RPG, CL, DDS, SQL, Query400
- WebSphere Application Server
- Not required but a bonus to have experience in the following:
- Optio Fax Client and Server
- JAVA, JSP, J2EE, CSS, HTML, XML
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as vendor contract, reps agreement, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
