District Sales - Southern California
CA - Los Angeles
I.
Position reporting directly to this position:

Position Objective:
- Responsible for promoting sales growth to the assigned customers and territory. Monitoring daily and monthly progress of these customers, report sales activity to Management. Provide assistance to other departments as needed in the resolution of disputes.
- District Sales will report to National Sales Manager and his/ hers performance will be reviewed quarterly. District Sales will live and operate in his/her sales territory must live in a metropolitan area that agreed up by Plastpro HQ. Duties and Responsibilities are the following:
- Responsible to exceed/meet Target for the assigned Sales Territory, by opening new accounts and assist existing accounts to increase our product sales.
- Must travel 80% of time in his/ her Sales Territory: Visiting minimum of 10 dealers/ builders weekly, meet with distributors monthly, conduct sales/ PK meetings for customers, travel with distributor sales & independent sales reps, develop strong relationships with dealers & builders in his/ her region
- Manage Independent Sales Reps in the Sales Territory by: reviewing their weekly sales reports, follow up with Sales Reps’ sales leads, (renew Sales Reps’ annual contract), responsible for hiring and terminating Sale Reps.
- Must provide weekly sales report to Plastpro HQ/National Sales Manager by weekly.
- Trip expenses must be reported weekly.
- Travel to Plastpro HQ every 3 month (4 times a year), Travel with customer to Ohio Plant every 2 month (6 times a year)
- Managing Budgets:
- Each District Sales is given an assigned budget to cover expenses ranging from traveling, lodging, meals and phone bills etc…
- Budget is divided monthly and District Sales should adhere to the budget and could exceed it by no more than 15% if necessary.
- If additional budget is needed for unexpected expenditures, District Sales must request additional funding 30 days prior in writing, explaining in details the reason for the extra expense.
- Failure to adhere to these rules or any abuse of the budget outside the business related spending would result in disciplinary action taken by the company that may include termination.
- District Sales must use their personal credit cards to cover their expenses and their expense reports must be submitted to the National Sales Manager no later than Monday of the following working week by 10:00 AM.
- Expense reports are processed at HQ and a company check is issued within 2 weeks.
- National Sales Manager will monitor and log all expenses and at the end of each month will run a report to determine District Sales are staying within budget.
- Scheduling and Weekly Reports:
- A weekly report is to be submitted with every expense report detailing prior week activity and dealers, builders or customers visited. A canvas report should be submitted and reused to determine the interest of each prospect visited.
- A six-week calendar should be posted with the National Sales Manager showing all District Sales meetings, appointments and regions covered for that week.

Qualifications:
College degree or equivalent experience in sales, telemarketing or customer service is required. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, must have the initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision.

Training:
Three (3) months on-the-job training with National Sales Manager and/or Director of Sales: To learn and understand our products, specifications, pricing, marketing and Company procedures and policies. Training will be held at HQ for the first initial training period and at the Ohio plant toward the end of the training period. District Sales will be sent home every other weekend until training is done.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tasks and Duties
- Promoting and selling our product by traveling to meet new and current customers. Making cold calls to potential customers, visiting builders & architects to spec-in our products; visit current customers and travel with customers’ outside sales team.
- Planning and organizing own schedule to set up proper and effective meetings with customers.
- Conduct sales training sessions for customers. Attend regional and national trade conventions.
- Monitor assigned outside sales representatives daily and monthly to ensure sales progress.
- Issue quotation to customers, and obtain proper pricing approval as needed.
- Follow up on all quotations to secure the order.
- Monitor and review all requests for price deviations to meet competitive bids whereas they comply with all legal regulations and company policies.
- Responsible for sending samples, literatures, testing data, and necessary documentations to the customers and outside sales representatives.
- Initiate and follow through the resolution of any dispute that involves an order.
- Report periodically to Management the current status of each assigned customer and market conditions, and utilize data compile in the Sales Activity Report.
- Discuss with the Director of Sales the reasons for high or low sales volumes, and formulate together a strategy for increasing volume.
- Sell the monthly, quarterly, and annual targeted volume in accordance with all legal regulations and company policy.
- Administer special projects and assignments as given by the National Sales Manager and the Director of Sales.
- Maintaining distributor files and update with each quotation issued or order processed stating all relevant information relating to the quotation or order.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of all Plastpro products by attending regular sales training seminars and self-study.
- Devote the entire productive time, ability and attention to the business of the Company, and shall perform all duties in a professional, ethical and businesslike manner.
- The Sales Coordinator shall not disclose to anyone – inside or outside of the Company – any Confidential Information. “Confidential Information” shall include any of the Company’s proprietary or trade secret information that is disclosed to the Sales Coordinator, or that the Sales Coordinator otherwise learns of in the course of employment, such as, but not limited to, business plans, customer lists, customer information, internal pricing information, financial statements, software diagrams or documentation, flow charts or other product plans.

Extensive talking and listening from constant phone usage, writing, filing, and typing. Packaging samples, customer binders, and brochures in carton boxes. Ability to read faxes, computer print outs, and invoices.
- Work Environment Conditions
Operate out of a home office and traveling 80% of the time to visit with customers, potential customers, dealers, builders and architects, etc…
