Retail Sales Representative

I.          Position reporting directly to this position: None
 
II.        Position Objective:
Travel and visit retail stores on a weekly basis, support sales opportunities, product concerns, and visit jobsite complaints when necessary.  Must have strong product knowledge and ability to train customers on our products and company background.  Provide assistance to other departments as needed in the resolution of disputes.  
 
III.       Qualifications:
College degree or equivalent experience in customer service is required.  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, must have the initiative and ability to work independently.    
 
IV.       Training:                                          
Three (3) months on-the-job training with Retail Sales Director.  To learn and understand our products, specifications, pricing, marketing strategies, Company procedures and policies.   
 
V.        Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  1. Tasks and Duties
    1. Weekly travel to meet customers in retail stores.  Train the store associates on our products features & benefits and make sure they know how to order our products.  Provide group Product Knowledge training meeting when necessary. 
    2. Respond to customers and sales team in a timely fashion and communicate effectively.  Follow up with plant, vendors, and outside sales representatives to support or resolve complaints.
    3. Responsible for sending samples, literatures, testing data, and necessary documentations to the customers. 
    4. Initiate and follow through the resolution of any dispute that involves a complaint.
    5. Administer special projects and assignments as given by the Retail Sales Director.
    6. Develop and maintain knowledge of all Plastpro products by attending regular sales training seminars and self-study. 
    7. Devote the entire productive time, ability and attention to the business of the Company, and shall perform all duties in a professional, ethical and businesslike manner.
    8. The Retail Service Representative shall not disclose to anyone – inside or outside of the Company – any Confidential Information.  “Confidential Information” shall include any of the Company’s proprietary or trade secret information that is disclosed to the Retail Service Representative, or that the Retail Service Representative otherwise learns of in the course of employment, such as, but not limited to, business plans, customer lists, customer information, internal pricing information, financial statements, software diagrams or documentation, flow charts or other product plans.
    9. Other duties as assigned.
 
  1. Machinery and Electrical Devices Used
Keyboard mainframe and PC computer terminal, 10-key calculator, fax machine, copier, and telephone.
 
  1. Physical and Visual Activity Required
Valid driver license required- ability to travel using their personal vehicle to different location.  Extensive talking and listening from constant phone usage, writing, filing, and typing.  Packaging samples, customer binders, and brochures in carton boxes.  Ability to read faxes, computer print outs, order acknowledgements, and invoices. 
 
VI.       Authority / Decision Making
Work under Plastpro policies and procedures on a daily basis.  Makes decisions on job-related matters under close supervision of the Retail Sales Director and within the authority established by the President’s Office.
