Production Coordinator
(HQ) Los Angeles, CA
SUMMARY
Compile the production/inventory data, provide purchasing, interplant order proposals, and provide coordination between the HQ Operation Department, Customer Service Department, Plant staff and vendors on production, shipping and inventory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor daily production report and analyzes daily production performance.
- Follow up all the production abnormalities with plant.
- Create weekly Molding & Assembly schedule.
- Create and release work orders when necessary for plant to report production.
- Change work order’s bill of materials when necessary.
- Monitor non-stock item interplant orders.
- Prepare monthly Production Performance Reports.
- Prepare monthly RMA reports.
- Analyzes monthly work order closeout variances and follow up with abnormalities.
- Analyzes monthly purchase price variances and follow up with abnormalities.
- Track and resolve problems with inventory counts, product codes, and production key-in errors.
- Process approved inventory adjustment, cycle count, claim, NCM etc.
- Follow supervisor’s instructions to modify/create plant’s work orders or cancel the work orders.
- Purchasing:
- Handle purchasing from China Vendor for the molding profiles
- Prepare check request for China Vendor for the PO payment
- Follow up with the supplier in China for the orders and ship dates.
- Cooperate with freight forwarder on solving shipping, tracking, customs duties payment, and expedite issues for POs
- Follow up imported containers shipping schedule and warehouse receiving.
- Others:
- Assists in quarterly and year-end inventory auditing process, and THM audit.
- Assists on annually cost change.
- Keep Ocean freight price table up-to-date
- Provide help-desk support to plant operators and HQ CSC team.
- Monitor Midwest Claim submission
- Perform all other assignments from supervisor/manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to present ideas, concepts, clearly and effectively, verbally and translate finding to written report and documents.
EDUCTION and/or EXPERIENCE
4 year college degree in Business or Business related majors.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Possess intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees such as company meeting or department meeting.
Bilingual language skills (English/Mandarin Chinese) preferred but not required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
